While authentic Tandoori Chicken should of course be cooked in a tandoor oven, a charcoal grill or a broiler can also do a nice job.
Using chicken thighs (or drumsticks) instead of a whole chicken speeds up the actual cooking while not sacrificing flavor.
Garlic, butter, sesame oil, spinach and black mushrooms give this chicken noodle salad a unique flavor. It can be prepared in advance, refrigerated and served cold or it can be served lukewarm right away.
Another nice little experiment that turned out to be successful: A puff pastry crust filled with chicken, peas and pomegranate syrup. The tangy syrup goes very well with the chicken and the peas.
